Renovation of a villa in Mannheim true to the original style

Since their conversion, the premises of the Villa Am Oberen Luisenpark in Mannheim are used by the foundation Engelhardt-Stiftung as office facilities, archive, as well as for events and concerts.

Horst Engelhardt, a merchant from Mannheim, founded the “Horst und Eva Engelhardt-Stiftung” in 1994, together with his wife Eva. Since then, the foundation has supported charitable projects, such as the SOS Kinderdorf Pfalz. With his famous carpet store, Horst Engelhardt shaped Mannheim’s retail trade in the center of the city until 1995.

In addition to the complete renovation of the entire interior and outdoor facilities, the roof, facade and the garage have been refurbished as well. Furthermore, in the entrance area, a new fence incl. sandstone wall was created.

The official inauguration and handover took place in late October 2018.
